Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Hire and supervise rental agents and building superintendents
  • Hire and supervise support staff performing operational, clerical or maintenance duties
  • Prepare and administer contracts for property services, such as maintenance
  • Co-ordinate implementation of repairs, maintenance and renovation
  • Monitor progress and cost of work for property owners
  • Prepare expense and income reports
  • Train or arrange for training
  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Recommend personnel actions
  • Prepare production and other reports
  • Oversee apprenticeship training
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities
  • Leading/instructing individuals
  • Read blueprints and drawings
